Like a QR code read, the app should allow you to "photograph" your gas meter and submit it as a self-read. In other words, recognise the digits on the meter via the camera and submit that, rather than having to write it in yourself.

It's a great idea @Deanbie , and I believe something along these lines may already be on the roadmap.

I want to provide photos of my meters for my final reading. I had been advised to could respond to the email they sent me on confirmation of final read.

Email address will not go through.
