The electricity bill projection has been off (low) for months now and as a result isn’t much use. Currently:

29/8 to 28/9

Cost so far: $118.86

Projection: $134.21

The projection generally stays $20-30 ahead of the cost so far every day, but ends up being wildly off the final bill

Do you have a digital smart meter, or an old analogue meter that is read every 3 months ?

If analogue, and are being billed monthly, it's just estimated for 2 of the months, then read and whatever catch up is then made on every third bill, be it less or extra used over the estimated.

With an analogue meter, you never get accurate projections unless you upload meter reads yourself, and you should be able to do that each month just before the bill period is ending . . . the bills will be closer to what you should be getting charged then.
