How can we help you?
Most online communities have a ranking system that helps members identify who people are within the community. Here's how our system works and how you can get involved!
Our ranking system rewards you for being an active member of Neighbourhood. Whether you're asking questions, helping others, sharing your experiences or creating great content, every contribution helps you progress through the ranks.
The more you participate, the quicker you'll climb the ranks. If your posts receive likes from other members or are marked as a solution, you'll progress even faster.
When you join Neighbourhood, you'll start with your first rank: Starter. From there, it's up to you to work your way up. You'll find your rank displayed next to your avatar and username.
Not sure where your rank sits within Neighbourhood? Take a look at the progress bar on your profile page. You can also view other members' profiles or the progress bars on their posts to see how they rank within the community.
Community roles, such as AGL Community Manager, are also displayed alongside usernames so you can easily identify members of the Neighbourhood team.
All AGL moderators, experts and employees have an AGL logo displayed next to their name or avatar, making them easy to spot throughout Neighbourhood.
We'll keep the exact details a secret, but doing any combination of the following can help you move up the Neighbourhood ranks:
Badges are our way of recognising and celebrating your contributions to Neighbourhood. We know many members generously share their time, knowledge and experiences to help others, and badges acknowledge those efforts.
Badges can be earned through a variety of activities and milestones. Some recognise how long you've been a member of Neighbourhood, while others are awarded based on the number of posts, replies or helpful contributions you've made.
You can view the full list of badges on your profile page. Badges you've earned will appear in full colour, while those still to be unlocked will be greyed out.
There may be special rewards, recognition or VIP opportunities available for members who reach certain levels. The only way to find out is to keep participating and growing your rank!
We want to help connect members with others who share similar interests and expertise. That's why we've introduced Category Enthusiast badges.
To be awarded one of these badges, we'll consider a combination of factors such as your community activity, ranking, number of posts within a topic area and any solved answers you've provided in that category.
If you think you've earned one, feel free to send a private message to the Community Manager to apply for the badge, or keep an eye out for an invitation if we think you've earned it.
Have a question about ranks or badges? Post it below!
If you have feedback or suggestions on how the system could be improved, we'd love to hear from you in our Neighbourhood Ideas board.
We look forward to seeing you get involved and make the most of Neighbourhood!
Cheers,
The Neighbourhood Team
