I have used Chargefox throughout the trial and have had no problems, since the trial ended, I have still been using the Chargefox app to monitor my usage.
I notice all lot of others have gone to aftermarket apps to control their usage and monitor their use.
I would be happy to stay with Chargefox but would like to be able to restrict my usage, useless overridden by me, in the same way that AGL did.
Is this possible or do I need to go aftermarket, is there some contact I can talk to at Chargefox to make this happen.
Apologies for the slow reply here - I'm catching up on the activity in here after a combination of annual leave and a busy EOFY season.
I'm sorry to say that it isn't possible to do that for you individually, the Chargefox capability was built specifically for controlling all the chargers in the trial simultaneously and doesn't have the ability to set schedules for single chargers individually. As the trial has finished and we've turned off schedules altogether, we wouldn't want to turn it back on and impact everyone else.
Further to this, if it were technically possible, the trial was only funded for staff / support / licensing during the trial period so we wouldn't be able to provide ongoing support and the platform may be shut down completely in the future.
I'd encourage you to look at either setting some charging schedules from your EV (depending on your make model, it could have them in the vehicle console or via your EV's app if it has one). Alternatively you could look at the 3rd party providers like Charge HQ, although I've heard this is no longer being offered as a free service for new customers.
Hopefully you can find a solution that works for you, and if AGL starts offering smart charging services we'll be sure to reach out to everyone who was on the trial.
Thanks for the feedback, I have now setup Charge HQ, still free if you don't have solar and I fall into this category so all good, looking forward to seeing the AGL EV pricing that is coming on 3rd August.
